About this Piece
For those who hold the midlands and East of Ireland in their hearts, this pendant symbolizes that attachment, featuring a Sterling Silver map of Ireland with a Rose Gold heart embedded in the province of Leinster.
Situated on Ireland's east and southeast coasts, Leinster is the most populous province, containing the counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow, and the capital, Dublin.
Following the Norman invasion in the 12th Century, English rule in Ireland centered around the Pale region (Dublin and parts of of surrounding counties), which gradually absorbed the surrounding kingdoms, later becoming the administrative province of Leinster. The province's traditional flag features a gold harp on a green background.
