About this Piece

This beautiful Tree of Life pendant is made in Ireland and cast in sterling silver. The pendant is set with sparkling marcasites. A lovely piece  of Irish jewelry to add to your collection, or to give as a gift. Our Tree of Life earrings complete the set.

    Measurements: Pendant 35 mm x 28 mm, with 18" Sterling Silver Chain.

    This is an authentic Tree of Life pendant hallmarked at Dublin Castle.

       


        The Celtic Tree of Life

        Known as crann bethadh to the ancient Celts, the Tree of Life (and its many variations across ancient cultures) represented rebirth and resilience, as well as balance and harmony, as symbolized by its branches rising towards the heavens and its roots descending into the earth. Whenever land was cleared to make way for a new farm or settlement, one large tree would be left alone in the middle as a sacred focal point (thus, cutting down an enemy's tree would be a huge blow to them). While trees provided resources and shelter, they were also a doorway to the spirit world. 


        About the Maker

        Anu Jewellery is a family owned and run business with almost 20 years experience servicing the North American and Irish Celtic market. Their product range includes Gold and Silver Collections, with their designs being inspired by the Book of Kells and their Celtic roots. They have taken the traditional Irish symbols and emblems such as the Claddagh, Shamrock, Trinity Knot and the Celtic Cross and given them a modern look and feel using the latest technology.

         

        All their pieces are authenticated and then hallmarked by the Dublin Assay Office in Dublin Castle.

        Wedding favors

        Ordered the Celtic love cross and shamrock ornaments to use as wedding favors and they worked out to be perfect. Ordered from the states and when I arrived in Ireland they were delivered to my hotel, Aiden and his staff were wonderful to work with, thanks again Aiden.

        I never received the order of 2 Celtic crosses of Ardboe…. Can you please let me know to what address these were sent?
